Loads of Hope Supports First Responders in Dallas
LAUNDRY TIPS
First responders bear a heavy burden even at the best of times. In the current climate, with COVID-19 adding to the emergency needs of almost every community, first responders are more important than ever.
While many people stay at home and lose work to try to slow the spread of disease, first responders are often working more and longer hours and they’re putting their health and safety on the line to care for the people in their communities. They deserve respect and, more importantly, whatever support the community can provide for them during this time. Tide Cleaners has found a way to provide support through its Loads of Hope program.
What Is Tide Loads of Hope?
The concept behind Tide Loads of Hope is simple. While first responders are busy saving lives and protecting the people of the community, Tide Cleaners will lighten their load by taking care of their laundry and dry cleaning for free. The offer applies to police, firefighters, paramedics, doctors, nurses, hospital and medical staff, and medical researchers in the Dallas area.
How Does It Work?
First responders and their immediate families can bring in up to four 13-gallon bags of clothes per week. First responders who take advantage of this offer can bring their laundry to a Tide Cleaners location or use the Loads of Hope opt-in form to flag their account as a first responder account so that they can use the Tide Cleaners locker locations to drop off and pick up their laundry.
First responders or their family members will need to show ID that identifies the first responder such as a police officer’s badge or hospital ID badge in order to take advantage of this offer.
Important Details
Generally, the turnaround time for laundry done at Tide Cleaners is two days for laundry dropped off at the store and two to three days for laundry dropped off at a locker location. Depending on customer volume, Tide Cleaners stores may reach capacity on a given day and be unable to accept any more laundry that day; however, if that happens, customers can return the next day to have their laundry done.
It’s important to note that Tide Cleaners will be unable to accept leathers, wedding dresses, and alterations as part of the Loads of Hope program. To protect others in the community using Tide Cleaners lockers, Tide Cleaners is also unable to accept COVID-19 exposed clothing, such as uniforms worn while treating COVID patients.
Hospitals, police stations or fire departments that are interested in forming a partnership with Tide Cleaners can do so by filling out the form located on the Loads of Hope page. However, first responders can take advantage of the Loads of Hope program at participating Tide Cleaners locations whether or not their organization has a partnership with Tide Cleaners.
