Site selection process

Multi-unit opportunities are available nationwide. New franchise owners must open a Plant Store as their first outlet and can open various formats of Drop Stores as their second or subsequent outlet(s). Tide Cleaners currently offers an incentive program for new owners interested in opening multiple locations. Neighborhood Drop Store and Locker-Only Drop Store opening fees may be deferred for one year after opening, in addition to receiving up to $7,500 of marketing expenses covered by the franchisor.
There is more than one way to set up a Tide Cleaners store. A Plant Store, the first outlet all new franchisees must open, ranges in size from 2,800 to 3,200 square feet. Offering drive-thru services is preferred, and each site must provide 24/7 access using drop-boxes, lockers, or a kiosk.
