Tide Cleaners store set-up

Each Tide Cleaners location is designed to suit the needs of its community. Traffic flow, demographics, and site specifications all play a part. While the layout and floorplan of each Tide Cleaners location may vary slightly, they all have one thing in common, they provide outstanding service to members of their community. Read ahead to learn about the various types of Tide Cleaners formats available.

Plant Store

New franchisees must first open a Plant Store in their designated market. This type of store format houses the equipment for processing the garments, and also allows guests to drop off their laundry and dry cleaning in person and have a one-on-one interaction with a Tide Cleaners expert. Plant Stores range in size from 2,800 to 3,200 square feet.

Drop Store

Franchisees can open a Drop Store after they have already opened a Plant Store. Drop Stores are smaller than Plant Stores, typically 1,200 to 1,400 square feet. These formats are designed to provide additional convenient locations for customers to be able to drop off and pick up their laundry, with reduced investment for the franchisee. Like a Plant Store, at a minimum, curbside service is required and drive-thru service is preferred.

Locker Drop Store

A Locker Drop Store is a store that allows clients to drop off and pick up their laundry through a secure locker system 24/7. Clients place and keep track of their orders using iPhone and Android applications. This is the perfect solution for busy professionals, students, and family members who don’t want to go out of their way to have clean clothes!

Store initial investment range

Multiple factors determine the initial investment you will make on your new Tide Cleaners franchise. Each type of store format has its own investment range:

  • $681,100 - $1,573,300 for a Plant Store

  • $153,900 - $636,800 for a Drop Store

  • $79,500 - $349,750 for a Neighborhood Drop Store

  • $56,900 - $267,150 for a Locker Only Drop Store

These figures are representative of a Lease Model and do not include associated costs for land and building. Additional details will be provided during the qualification process.
