Limited Time Incentive Programs
Don't miss out on the opportunity to take advantage of our exciting Incentive Programs! For a limited time, new Franchisees will enjoy a Marketing expenditure contribution for their first Plant Store in the amount of $25,000. Is there a continuing royalty fee?
The continuing royalty fee is 6.5% of net sales paid weekly through electronic funds transfer.

There is a requirement to contribute 4% of the store’s weekly net sales for Marketing (2% Local; 2% National Advertising & Development Fund).
What is franchising? How does it work?
Franchising is a way for a business to expand beyond its original owners. The power of franchising is realized through the combination of the contributions from the two participants. The most common form of franchising is a business-format franchise, where the franchisor contributes certain elements including the brand/trademark for the concept, the business system (commonly called the operating system), and initial and ongoing support. The franchisee contribution involves the management skills to run the business day-to-day using the franchisor-provided brand and system, and capital to fund the opening and continued operations of the business. In addition, the franchisee brings a level of desire and interest in having the business succeed that is essential to franchising, and is something the franchisor can't replicate on its own. Your desire to succeed plays a huge role in your ongoing success. Franchisees pay initial franchise fees and then ongoing royalties for access to the format the franchisor has developed and for ongoing enhancements to the system. It's truly an attractive situation for both parties. There is a contract, called the Franchise Agreement, signed by both parties that governs the relationship between the franchisor and franchisee and explains in detail the responsibilities of both sides. The franchisor is required to provide a copy of the Franchise Agreement and this contract will provide a roadmap for the duration of time the agreement is effective.
How long does it take to open a Tide Cleaners business?
We hesitate to give time frames due to the number of variables that exist. Usually, a Tide Cleaners business can be opened within four to five months from construction commencement. Many factors influence the time from execution of the Franchise Agreement to groundbreaking. This timeline may vary due to the following factors:
Finding a suitable location
Due diligence, zoning and use approvals
What qualifications does Tide Cleaners seek in its potential franchisees?
Certain qualities and qualifications are essential to become a Tide Cleaners franchise owner:
An entrepreneurial spirit and strong desire to succeed
The ability to motivate and train people
The ability to manage finances
The willingness to personally devote full-time and best efforts to the day-to-day operation of the cleaning business as an on-premises franchisee
The willingness to complete a comprehensive training and evaluation program to become proficient in all aspects of running the cleaning business
The ability to meet financial qualifications
Will I receive assistance in finding a location for my Tide Cleaners?
What is the availability of sites in my area?
The availability of franchises in specific areas will be discussed during your initial interview. However, as you can appreciate, Tide Cleaners cannot predict which locations will be available when your application and qualification process is complete.
Do I receive training from Tide Cleaners?
Our current training program offers approximately two weeks of hands-on experience in operating a Tide Cleaners location at a training facility/on-the-job/on-site and approximately one week of self-directed computer-based training. We also provide additional training for your management staff and a Tide Cleaners Support Representative will be on your site during its opening.
Will Tide Cleaners purchase a piece of property that I own and then sell me the franchise for that location?
Tide Cleaners does not purchase sites for Franchisees. Our Franchisees are responsible for purchasing or leasing an acceptable site for their Tide Cleaners location. We collaborate with our Franchisees to locate and secure the best possible site in their market. We assist our Franchisees in evaluating, designing and constructing great locations.
What type of support will I receive?
The Tide Cleaners team will provide guidance regarding standards, specifications, operating procedures, marketing, purchasing equipment and products. A series of manuals are also provided in a franchise website portal that will assist in the operation of your Tide Cleaners.
Regional activities are important to our continuing education program. This program helps keep franchisees informed on a variety of subjects and provides an opportunity to interact with other franchisees and the Tide Cleaners management team.
Will Tide Cleaners assist with lease negotiations?
Tide Cleaners does assist in negotiations to secure an acceptable site for your Tide Cleaners location by providing tools and support based on our extensive experience. Ultimately, it is the responsibility of our Franchisees to lease or purchase an acceptable property.
Can I open more than one store?
Yes. We encourage those franchisees who are qualified with special skills/systems and proven multi-unit franchise experience to open multiple locations.
What is the term of the franchise agreement?
Your franchise agreement will have an initial term of 10 years, plus a 10-year renewal option.
